FIRE SAFETY PLANNING
Scrap yards are a unique business environment. Extreme heat, combustible materials, and vast supplies of flammable inventory mean fires are almost inevitable. Damage from a fire can range widely from diminished yard materials, to destruction of equipment, and even to injury or death. For recyclers, creating a comprehensive Fire Safety Plan is vital for maintaining a safe and profitable business.
